I have seen many G Grafrath gravity knives with pretty jigged bone scales, but this is the first that I have seen in stag. Has anybody here seen them in stag before? The stag looks factory, and old so I believe it is original to the knife. Thanks in advance for your replies......Ken

autoknife,
such Graefrath Broth. gravity knives were very rare before they were banned in Germany 4 years ago. I know the stag horn handled option from a vintage sales catalog but ran across the jugged bone handled ones only.

Thanks cut. I guess we now know that they did actually make some in stag then. Do you collect old catalogs? I like to buy them when I find the ones with springmessers. I have an old Herder, and a Wilh Welterbach from 1932 50th anniversary edition. If you ever find doubles that you would like to sell, please keep me in mind. Thanks.....Ken

I am collecting hunting knives and unique switchblale knives. You surely know that German laws are restricting some kinds of knives thats why I concentrated in researching knife history including acquiring vintage sales catalogs.
I have printed matter of several Solingen Herder cutlers and could purchase various Weltersbach ones in the past.
I'll keep your interest in mind.

The knife showed up today and was nicer than I expected. Here are some better pictures. Does anyone know what years these were made?
