Aeh upps - that is 100% not my style but it fascinates me. Maybe I should change my style :)
Could you give some information, how you work on the blade and the handle. Do you have some pictures of the unfinished knife, to give an impression about the steps of your work?

The "style of the forum" is what we (including you) make out of it.
(I hope that's understandable).
I personally wish there were more post of your kind.

Hallo Montejano.

I think something that one could call „The Style of the Forum” does not exist.

I’m for my part very interested in medieval Ages…

And this Knife looks as every King could carry it without being ashamed when he drags it out of its scabbard!

It’s an outstanding Artwork, and I would like to see much more of this kind!

Congratulations for the Mastership you achieved!

One Question…

Is the Handle mounted together of several small Parts, or is the “Hull” of the Grip made of one Piece and Skeletonized?

And al little critical point…

If the Blade would be of Damascus steel, the Knife would be perfect!

Greets, and please post more!

Michael

Pitter, lament not to be able to delight with pictures of the process. I don't carry out the pictures until it is not completed totally. Before this I placed in the forum another knife with the perforated leaf. I have asked if you want to see but pieces, because in the previous one (perforated leaf) it was said that it was not practical and I had the sensation that maybe my work was not contributing something to the forum. For that reason I placed this Gothic knife and according to the reaction in the forum, I will think about to place more in the successive thing. My desire is to contribute with a different work.
When I carry out a work of this type, I make a previous design of the same one. I need to see mentally where he/she goes inserted each piece, like they are adjusted among them and until I don't get it I don't begin my work. Alone for the design, it is needed a considerable effort and time.

When I finished this knife I knew that it would be difficult to overcome it for me and until the moment it is my best knife with difference of the other ones.

CHARACTERISTIC :

Leaf of the knife in steel 440A, recorded to the strong water by the two faces, with technical traditional and handmade, like they were carried out in the XIX century. I am Used Gothic.
The hilt is of German nickel and black zebu, with pedrería inlay. It is an engraving work, of perforated, of welding and adjustment of the pieces.

If teneís some question more I will be loved in responding you.
If you want to see more my works, the next one would put you an enamel champlevé, with jeweler's enamels.
Thanks to all to see my works, I wait if it is your desire, to continue being among you.

An affectionate greeting to all.

WOW :staun:

Great piece of art - are you jeweller, knifemaker ore "just" an inspired artist ?

Regards Andreas

the drawings are also a piece of art - i like it

Would be nice in a frame on my livingroom wall :)

The knife seem to be a item for a royalty :super:

If i would see it in the tower, i will truly believe that is origin from there!!

Espero haber respondido a vuestras preguntas .

Gracias por mirar mis trabajos .

Michael, the knife is formed by many adjusting pieces among them and some welding, but very few weldings. The process is very elaborated of a lot of time.
Andreas, I am not a jeweler; I am self taught in all my works. I am really recording teacher to the strong water that he/she says the title that I have in the house wall; although I don't consider myself teacher, because I learn something every day.
I have had to experience a lot to learn what I know. The designs are mine and inspired by art styles (Gothic, rebirth...)
I have looked at art books, especially of architecture works.
I have always had easiness for the drawing and it is in a natural way, without formation of fine arts.
The difficult thing is to catch a blank paper and with many hours of dedication and mental effort that it begins to arise a small work.
I have a professional base as engraver, my father it was it all their life.

I wait to have responded to your questions.

Thank you to look at my works.
