Kizlyar: Prototyp vom neuen Phoenix

Hallo,

mir wurde gerade ein Foto vom neuen Phoenix 1 rübergeschickt.
Die Klinge ist aus U-8 einem russischen Kohlenstoffstahl mit einem Kohlenstoffanteil von 0.8- 0.85%, die Klinge ist 6,5 mm dick. Die Griffschalen sind aus Texolite.
Bei jedem Messer wird die Rockwellhärte der Klinge und des Erl´s getested und auf der Klinge markiert. In der Regel wird die Klinge 57-59 HRC und der Erl 40-43 HCR haben der Glasbrecher ist gehärtet .

Die Scheide wird aus Leder in einem neuen Design sein. Leider habe ich davon noch kein Foto , versuche aber eines zu bekommen.

hier habe ich noch einen Ausschnitt,der zeigt, wo die Rockwellhärte vermerkt wird.

...ich weiss allerdings noch nicht wann es kommen und wieviel es kosten wird.

...höre das mit dem gehärteten Glasbrecher besonders gern, wie Du Dir denken kannst. Erinnert an einen schon einige Zeit zurückliegenden Meinungsaustausch, erinnerst Du Dich?

hi,
ok the picture is only of a prototype, the production ones will be alittle different,
the cutout at the pommel for the lanyard hole will be smaller..
the textolite around the guard will be different in shape. and the handle will be flatter in the handle for (ill show a picture of the spine later)

each knfie it checked for the hardness 6 times, , 3 in the handle an d3 in the blade, the handle is notmaly 40-43 rockwell.. like a spring,
and the blade 57-59 rockwell,
under the textolite grip there is cutouts in the tang to make the weight a little less.

coating is different form the stainless steel knvies it is parkerizing like on some guns,


the handle is bolted on,, ofcorse..
the sheath will be leather, and will be hand stiched with a doublem row, and have 5 tiedown points and loops for leg straps,
the handle retainer will have two studs, and be positioned above the guard,

knife blade is quite thick, about 6.5mm

Kooperiert Kizlyar in USA mit TOPS? Oder ist die große Ähnlichkeit des neuen TOPS SpecOps mit Eurem Phoenix Zufall ?

Wenn ich die Fortentwicklung Eurer Modelle sehe (und natürlich der zugehörigen Scheiden, scheint sich ja zu einem meiner Lieblingsthemen zu entwickeln ), freue ich mich wirklich - in meinen Augen ein guter Weg und eine sehr erfreuliche Entwicklung

hi Micha..
yes one year ago i have Mike Fuller form tops 3 of our knive,s pheonix 1 pheonix 2 and korushun.
he was interested co-operating with kizlyar and having the blades made in kizlyar and the handles and coating done in the u.s.

the large pheonix has been done in russia for about 7 years..
its pearent is ofcrose the knifes or Exstrema ratio. ..
i once elaborated on this tale.. but it is to long ( police order E.A. tanto , with pic.. and after kizlyar make these for them,, back .. many years.. and this spawn whole range of milled bladed knives,, )


unfortunatly kizlyar did not wish to produce blades, as there was outstanding orders within russia.


looks like mike has done one anyway :O.. ill contact him and see whats what ...

here is the old pheonix.. i took this foto about 6 years ago or so... maybe 5..
handle is hard rubber as in the car tires, it dosnt damage like the new elastron , but is very hard.
it cna resist acid and a good deal of head and such,, it took about 1 hour to mould 4 knives :O the maching woudl do 4 at a time, so they had two pressforming mahcines, old things from before ww2.........
very crude, new elastron takes 20 secounds.

here is an old.. about 1 yesr ago.. pheonix, with textolite grip scapes,, it is a prototype, workers made the end of the handle wrong.. cant realy see it in the foto .. but it was. quite wrong

here is the new sheath, bu but it is only the basic shape, the leg strap loops are to small, and the handle strap is not nicely shaped..
also the end i think ill add a metal loop .. and leather cord..
