It goes without saying within this forum that German cutlery companies produced some of the best hunting and outdoor knives.
Klaas was just one of many who offered such fine examples. Here are two models with handle lengths of 4-3/4 inches each.
Both have locking main blades and most likely date to the 1930s era.
Also shown is a catalog illustration from 1932 featuring the model with the shotgun shell extractors.
Klaas catalogs from the 1920s and 1930s show many different variations of similar type knives.

Interesting is the 1932-stamp saying "Rob." instead of "Rob(t)." ... we've had this aspect here, too ... of course they might have reused the print template from, like, 10 years ago or so ... ;)

Yes, but I don't know what year the "t" in "Rob" was added.
I also really like the Robert Klaas brand. But only until they went into the mass market and started making their knives in China. Allen, please tell me if the stamp has the word Ohligs on it? I don't pretend to be an expert, but as far as I know, the Rob. Klaas Ohligs Solingen stamp was used until about 1929, then it was Rob(t) Klaas Ohligs Solingen, and then on later and relatively modern models they write Rob(t) Klaas Solingen. I have several "brothers" of your knives and I will try to post them here in the next few days if you don't mind.

Dating many knives by tang stamps alone can be a tricky situation.
As far as Klaas goes, I see "R. Klaas", "Rob. Klaas", and Robt. Klaas" blade stamps all used in 1904 and 1906.
The large shell puller model I had shown is stamped "Robt. Klaas Solingen".
The other large model is stamped "Robt. Klaas Ohligs Solingen".

Hi fellas,

As promised I’m posting the Klaas brothers. The ones with saws are slightly different from each other in small details. Such as the number of rivets, the screwdriver at the end of the saw, grooves on the bolsters and the shape of the lock button. They also differ from the knife that Allen showed by the presence of a hook on the tip of the saw. Apparently they are all from different batches and different years of production. I specially photographed the stamps close up. Enjoy
