Die Niederlande

I don't know about Dutch laws pertaining switchblades, but in Germany automatic knives are only legal if their blade length doesn't exceed 7.5 cm.
Therefore the Al Mar you're referring to is not legal over here.

Other, shorter bladed automatics can be bought online though: for example http://www.toolshop.de/ has a decent selection.

Hi Dennis!

Is this the same knife which was featured in one of the last issues of Tactical Knife or Blade?

If so then I think that it is a special after sales modification and not a regular Al Mar offer.

So you will have to look for an US-Dealer which accepts International Money Orders but if there's a
blade limit in the netherlands than chances are good that it will end up in customs :(

Maybe its easier for you to look for an other high quality double auto like a Protech Godfather
(it should pe possible to locate one in europe).

Kind regards

customs and stuff

hi

how exactly does that work at customs? do they open every package or what? or do the x-ray it? by the way, maximum length for a (auto-)folder in The Netherlands is 9cm (3.5")

hi dennis

At least in Austria and Germany the will open the package and try to figure out how to open it :p

Best case: you will have fingerprints all over it

Worst case: someone will cut himself and you will have stained blood
instead of fingerprints :teuflisch

It could also happen that they will declare the knife as "illegal" "weapon" or whatever and hold it back.

You should check the custom procedure with someone from your home country for details.

Kind regards
