I have finished this engraving in a pocketknife Spyderco kiwi. He is a model child that I have realized for Paul Beretta ( collector and friend ). The mister Paul Beretta, he values this model of pocketknife highly and he has trusted me, in order to make an engraving.
I am satisfied with the result and as always, I have learned when making this engraving.

For me, he is a pleasure to show it to you and I wish to thank in public some collectors's confidence and at this moment to Paul Beretta.... Friend thanks Paul!

That's amazing!
As usual! ;)

If you don't mind I would like to see some of your tools.
What have you used for engraving the blade?

Thanks

I have not used a tool for the sheet ( blade ), an engraving is strong water with technique of the century XIX

truly awesome, do you mask the areas not to be etched? if yes, hw do you get the patterns in the etched areas?

Awesome engraving! The Kiwi is a strange knife design, which you either have to hate or love. I love it and embellished like you have done it, it turns into a jewel.

Thanks for sharing!

Amazing! A delicate little knife becomes a real piece of art in your hands.

Thank you again for sharing your work with us.

Friend teachdair:
I draw directly on metal within reach, without transferences. The surface to engraving does not protect itself and the design's zone protects itself against the acid. But I repeat that my technique is totally craft like in the century XIX ( At my country I am master engraver to strong water )

Dear Montejano,

I saw the pictures on SF and as already mentioned - an outstanding word, Sir! Guess Paul can't wait to hold one of his 'children' back in hands :D
Keep on your good work!

Wow! Great work! This is really artful. And it matches perfectly the knife's design. How long does it take you to create such a masterpiece?

I have not had the curiosity to tell the hours, but they have been enough, because the knife is engraved for two faces.
Thanks
Montejano
