„We only did the slotted bolts for awhile before changing to the allen head. It was just a much better system. I actually still make the arrow head for people who remember them and would like to have one. They are pretty cool." Bill Sanders im März 2016
Aus dem Katalogtext 1985:
"The SURVIVAL HUNTER, designed by Vaughn Neeley, won the Blade Magazine's overall award for "Knife of the Year" in 1984 and later the "American Made Design of the Year".
"The SURVIVAL HUNTER has removable Micarta (TM) scales which are packed with a variety of survival essentials. The handles contain 24 ft. of heavy nylon cord, 12 ft. of leader, 4 fish hooks, 2 split shot, a royal coachman fly and an optional snare wire and compass. The finely tapered tang allows the blade of the knife to be converted to a fishing spear with ease."
"The Saw on the back of the blade is a roughing saw designed to shave an ideal fire starting tinder from most any dry wood. It doubles as the barb necessary for holding a speared fish. The saw is not meant to be a limb or bone saw, however it works well as a notching tool when making a shelter or trap."
