Recently, Spyderco was honored to host a visit from a long-time Spyderco Forumite who goes by the forum username “Yablanowitz.” A U.S. Navy veteran and long-time Spyderco enthusiast, Yablanowitz specializes in collecting variations of our iconic Police Model. He’s spent years tracking down rare variants of this classic design—many of which have seen extensive real-world use—and was kind enough to bring his collection along for us to examine, discuss, and photograph.
Spyderco founder Sal Glesser, Digital Media/Marketing Administrator Kristi Hunter, and Special Projects Coordinator Michael Janich all gave Yablanowitz a warm welcome when he arrived. Then, while Sal and Kristi showed him some of the inner workings of the company, Mike set up shop and meticulously photographed each of Yablanowitz’ prized Police Models.
