Trance thumbstuds...

I know I saw it done somewhere, I just don't remember where...

BUT, has anyone removed the thumbstuds on their Trance, and if so, how do they come off?

Do you remember the pic of the modified Trance you got from me? - the one with the removed flipper and the "drilled through" thumbstud...

Well, it is quite easy to remove the thumbstuds, they are just screwed together - perhaps it not so easy without scratching the surface...

Sorry...but not really.

However, can one remove the studs then, with two pliers? Scratching the blade is not too much of an issue...

Sorry Chad, my bad! He removed the pin and riveted a piece of steel to the blade.

It was a easy thing to do.

Okay...so which way do you turn the pliers? AND, can the studs be put back after removal?

You have to turn against clockwise to loosen them - but be sure you get the "male" one - it's much easier then.

It is no problem to put the studs back - but they will be scratched, because at least mine were to tight to get them off with a piece of rubber between the pliers.
