Marc, thanks for the clarification (and sorry that my written German is bad, but I can read it).
Now, at the risk of sounding critical, and if I am not wrong about the capabilities of 440A, then the "original" and very cheap Enlan EL01 has in fact a better steel (8Cr13, like the Tenacious etc) than the Magnum edition? That sounds like a missed opportunity to me.
No problem with critical sounding critical for me.
To me, it sounds like a straight marketing.

Our Magnum series is equipped with 440A Blade steel. That´s it.
The typical Magnum customer is not member of a knife forum, nor is he specialized in his knowledge about blade steels.
And sure a 8Cr13MoV will not be of any advantage regarding the sales compared to 440A. No one knows that steel, no one ever heard of him, and 50% of potential buyers forgot the beginning of the name when they try to reach the end while asking for it.
If you see especially the Magnum buyers, I would estimate that 95% to 98% are not member of any Messerforum, nor are they knifenuts in any way.
So please don´t compare their standard to the standards within the Messerforum or other forums.
I sure don´t want to talk bad about those customers, but their expectations and their will to get involved with all those details are just different.
