Böker Sportmesser? [shops in Berlin]

Hi!

Sorry I can't speak any German so I have to write English.

I wanted to ask here, since googling doesn't seem to bring much discussion about this knife. I'm interested in the original smoked oak version. How do you like the knife? I read that the stag version didn't have much "snap" when closed.. is this stag version not made in Solingen?

Little side note, I'm also going to Berlin next summer and I was thinking if there's any good shops that are selling bit more traditional German knives? Any shops that sell authentic vintage slipjoints (or knives) instead of just new production ones?

Thanks in advance! : Super:

AW: Böker sportmesser?

Hello!
I do own the Stag and the Delrin version of the Sport knife. These two and also the oak version are entirely made in Solingen. I haven't heard of any clones from somwhere else yet.
Concerning my two knives, the stag version has the stronger springs, the other one's are a bit weaker. But no Problem at all, it never closed unecpectedly :)
The only oak model I was able to check so far, was made perfect. Should have purchased it ...

I have no Idea about shops in Berlin, but I can extend the thread title. There are several members livin in Berlin, chamenos oder excalibur for instance.

Hi A.L.,
excuse my bad english:rolleyes:. We have a few good shops in town. In our forum we have two threads about Berlin knife shop- perhaps it´s difficult to read for you- may you have someone to translate. (second link )

Before you will come to berlin, send a message so I can give you an update.

Take care

There´s no difference in the construction of the several Böker Sportmesser.

Sure there might be tolerances in the strength of the springs, but that is not related to the scale material.

And all the Böker Sportmesser are made in Solingen.
