I recently wrote an article on the history of Bruckmann along with some the knives they produced. Bruckmann knives were imported into the United States well into the 1950s and a large group of new old stock knives were sold through catalogs and auction sites long after that time period. Enclosed are a few pictures that were included in the article for a magazine titled “Knife Magazine”.

Thanks for your great contribution on Brückmann cutler from Solingen, Allen!
Obviously that company‘s remaining stocks were acquired by an US cutlery importer when Brückmann went out of business.

Hi @Allen and thanks for sharing the pics! That knife at the bottom looks especially rare with it’s long false edge. Is it a whittler type of a knife?

Thank you for the nice comments cut.
Yes, A.G. Russell was one of the early American knife dealers that purchased a large quantity of new old stock knives from the Bruckmann family.
Russell then began selling those Bruckman knives in a special catalog from 1989 as shown.

Thank you Abu and yes, a Whittler pattern and one of my favorite types.
It is a large knife as whittlers go with a handle length of 4-1/2 inches.
I especially like the pinched bolsters on that model.
