Here from New Zealand my latest efford.

36 layer damascus, with ebony handle, capped with textured and oxidized sterling silver fittings and a heat blued pommel nut.
Total length 34.5 cm.

hi richard,you did a great job.an absolutely spezial knife!!!I like to see some different designs,please tell us what kind of damascus you used!
the finish of the ebony is also very special.first i tought it is a kind of horn!!hope you will post some more work into the forum.

I forge my own damascus and tend to use 1095 & L6.

awesome knife, looks very stabby. i ´d thought that the handle was made from horn, too. how did you create the looks on the handle?

I don't think it is the finish on the handle what made it look like horn, I did not do anything different as normal.
But the ebony seems to have a little more brown in it than the stuff I used previously.
