With the beautiful stag folder from Bryn28 recently posted, here are a few more old Klaas knives.
Shown is a pair of pearl handled dagger models, one fixed-blade, and one lock-back folder.
The front and back blade stamps are shown and what is most interesting is that the fixed-blade dagger is marked "M. Klaas England" on the front side, and features the "Kissing Cranes" logo on the back side.
M. Klaas was Max Klaas (Robert's son) who immigrated to the United States in 1889 to set up shop and market the company knives. His name (M. Klaas) is seen on a few different Klaas knives.
The folding model is marked "Robt. Klaas Solingen" on the front side, and "Germany" on the back side.
Also shown is a catalog illustration from 1906 showing both models.
