it is really a pleasure to watch your reviews, even if it takes hours to do that, because of the massive amount of clips on yt. But you´ve done a fabulous job so far. Some of the clips are very very helpful in making a decision what is worth buying and what not. For instance the review with a comparison of the Chambriard Compagnon and Maserin Gourmet. I already have one of them (the Compagnon Bouleau de Norvège...beautiful knife), and the other will follow.:hehe:
Yesterday I saw the clip with the Lionsteel Opera, and what shall I say...:super: Today I went to my favorite store and I immediately placed an order.:hehe:

Most of the knives you´re talking about, are pretty much to my taste, and as far as I can see, you´ve got copious amounts of spiffy fancy knives.

Finally...there´s just one thing to say...keep on doing this stuff!!

Thanks for the friendly feedback.
I think I can make another 15 to 20 clips before I've covered all my knives.
For your info, the english site Heinnie.com offers the Gourmet at a better price than most. It's the only knife I now have 2 versions of: the olive wood from the video, and an ebony - nice when dining with 2!
The Opera is splendid indeed, I'm sure you'll like it. It also exists in a wonderful horn tip version.

I liked your movie of the Buck compared to the Klaas. The Klaas made of olive-wood is my EDC since about 6 weeks and I agree to you: It's nice, sharp and not too big.

I think that the Klaas Monolith is a true insider tip (Geheimtipp in German?). Excellent finish, a quality feeling, not too big or heavy, and friendly classic looks.

Try Diefenthal, if you are searching for classic knives, which are made in germany - very well made. But widely unknown. I recently had some models here for my work on the 2010 knife katalog of the "Messermagazin" - and I was quite impressed. There are still a lot "insider" products, made in Solingen and elsewhere in Germany (Belgium/Europe ;) ). Small manufacturers with a long history. Sometimes hard to find, in todays knife world, when mainstream and "in" products are filling forums and magazines ;)

A very different question: is the Messerkatalog 2010 already available? I ask because I bought the new Messer Magazine today but there was no Messer Katalog. So I wonder if (a) they still have to appear here in Belgium or (b) they are already sold out?

Mach dir keine Sorgen. Ich muß mich entschuldigen, denn dies ist ein deutsches Forum. Aber mein Deutsch ist wirklich schwach. Ich kann es lesen, aber es ist schwierig für mich zu sprechen oder zu schreiben. Vielen Dank Google Translate! (es funktioniert gut mit kurzen Texten).

Der Monolith ist in der Tat sehr, sehr nett. Eine starke Empfehlung für Menschen mit einer breiteren Geschmack als taktische Messer.
