My name is Davy Devaux, I taught myself how to make sushi because I enjoyed eating sushi, I did it as a hobby mostly for special occasions like New Year’s dinner or parties with friends …etc. my friends kept telling me that my sushi was the best they had ever tried… and that I should open a restaurant of my own (maybe someday).
Anyway how this all started, at one point I had two main hobbies building websites and cooking sushi, I tried converting these both in to my day job, but I was taking them in different directions, on the websites front I started making very bad quality websites I had about 26 different domains across a variety of different niches they were all doing poorly. On the sushi front, I started a local sushi delivery service in Marbella (Spain) where I would make the sushi every morning and bring it to local restaurants that would then sell it on… this little business was picking up and I was making a lot of sushi every morning. I did not much enjoy the factory line setup of having to do the same thing over and over again every day, I guess a lot of line cook probably feel the same way. And so, after a many months, I decided to stop doing it because I much preferred the excitement of creating new never seen before dishes.
