Dear Denis, this is again a piece of art. The knife itself seems to be perfectly finished, as we're already used to from your work. The engraving job is well made, too. There's one thing I don't like, though: Not all screws are identical. If it would be my knife, I'd sand and polish the screws to an uniform finish. One more thing that's a little bit sad for me: Push daggers arery sad that push-daggers are illegal here in Germany, so I could never own such a beatiful knife... :hmpf:=(
Best regards, Timo

Thanks Timo for the comment.
I agree, the screws aren't...the best. This is my first push dagger, I've already thought that for the next I'll have to find a solution to this problem.
Thanks, I really appreciated your criticism
I hope to meet you in the next exhibitions in Germany and I'll shake your hand

Dear Denis,
thank you for the reply to my constructive criticism. I'm looking forward to meet you in person some time. :D
Since I don't like people that only nag without offering a solution or hint, I thought about the screws last night. I hope it's ok for you that I post what I came up with, using pretty similar screws like in your dagger. Maybe you like this quick and easy modification, only took a few minutes:

IMG_20170103_150141.jpg IMG_20170103_190713.jpg IMG_20170103_190753.jpg IMG_20170103_150217.jpg

- I chucked up the screw in a hand drill and gave it a short spin on the belt grinder (with a worn-out 400 grit belt, on the slack part of the belt), to remove the odd bumps on the screw.
- Then I used a diamont triangle file to cut small groves into the screw, to give it a flower pattern. I used the Torx star as a reference, so no need to mark anything in adance. Still I completely painted the screw head with a felt marker to have some contrast, to make it easier to see what I'm doing. Another quick spin on the belt grinder removed accidental scratch marks...
- Afterwards, the screw received a quick polish on the buffing wheel. I did not polish it too much, because some file marks in the groves should remain for contrast.
- Finally, to make the screw look more interesting, I gave it some tender kisses with the blowtorch, to give it some yellow temper color. Some more heat and the color would obviously change from gold to bronze to purple to blue and finally to a dull grey. Going for one of the latter colors, buffing up the flats again and then go for gold again might have looked even better...

Please let me know if this post is OK for you in this knife presentation thread. If you don't like this hijack, please send me a message and I'll immediately delete the post upon your request.

Why delete?
I really appreciate your post.
Thank you very much. I will try to the next knife with screws to practice
Thanks for the advice, and to share.

To the push dagger: I admire the craftmanship! That handle looks great.
Unfortunately as a push dagger it has only one purpose and this is against my thinking.
I really appreciate this "knives are tools" theme (motto, slogan).

Für den Post 6 von Jubei würde ich einen eigenen Beitrag empfehlen! Vielleicht mit dem Titel "Pimp my Screws!" :D
Eine nette Idee, gut beschrieben so dass es einfach nachzumachen ist. Vielleicht könnte man in diesem "Pimp my.." Post noch mehr solche Ideen sammeln?

Grüsse
