This antique NYKC Hammer Brand two-blade jack knife, made after 1885 but before 1900.
Both blades were hand reground to a shallow convex with a ~30 degrees inclusive microbevel.

I found this old NYKC knife on an open air antique market in my home town on the bottom of a cardboard box filled with worn out junk knives, and it was inside the blue leather pouch also in the pics, which most likely kept the wood well protected.
Paid the massive amount of 10 Euro for it.
The steel grinds & sharpens quite easy, comparable to most 1095 steel, but it keeps a keener edge for longer.

Diese schöne, klassische Timex Expedition konnte ich für eine Handvoll Dollar... Euro auf dem Flohmarkt erstehen.
Besonders toll, neben dem lächerlich niedrigen Preis, den ich gezahlt habe, ist der neuwertige Zustand.

Das originale Lederarmband habe ich zwecks Alltagstauglichkeit gegen ein farblich passendes Nato-Band ausgetauscht.
