Dear Daywalker ,

You're right, i'm asking which is better for me. I'm 14 and i want to buy one of these great knives. It's very important for me that the knife , which i would like to buy, is of good quality, because i will use it a Long Time for edc. So in my question, i asked if the sheath from the subcom , which is my favourite, is Good because i had read that it isn't a kydex just a Abs Plastik sheath. And i also would like to know how the Finish (bead blast, i think ?! ;) ) makes it, if i use it a Long Time. In some Videos i heared that it don't Looks good Even After a Short Time. So i think that you've used it and i would like to know your experiences.

P.S. : Sorry for my englisch

Aloha Stealth97,

Okay, let me try to address your questions here. Quality-wise, the SFB is a great knife, very thick and durable. However, the beadblast finish, at least here in Hawaii's weather, has to be maintained often. I'm not sure why the finish would not look good after a short time, that is subject to interpretation. The SFB sheath on my user SFB has held out well, and the knife still locks in place, but you are correct, it is made of plastic, and I intend on upgrading to Kydex one day.

SO far, my user SFB is cord wrapped, and it has developed some rust freckles here and there, and I'm afraid to know what it looks like under the cord!:argw: But it is a user, so...

I wish that Boker would reconsider and produce this model again, this time not in the States, as I'm sorry to say, I have had some SFB come out not that great considering where they came from. Also a thinner stock, and add the Ti coating, and a kydex sheath. *Ahem...beagleboy sir...ya reading this? Add some colors to the knife as well, Tiger stripe camo, hot pink, bright yellow/orange...

Well, hope that helped a little and your english is fine young man!!!
Mahalo!:super:
