hello,
it gives some that like spyderco, many i think, i think they outsell benchmade and CRKT by quite a degree,
im not to shure on how many are made in japan, but i think many are made in taiwan also , for something to be made in japan or in america it must state made in the U.S.A. or made in japan, in the U.S. the product must contain also a degree of american made materials, so when something says seki, japan, it may just be quality controled from japan and made in taiwan,
some german makers,,, not naming any names ... **** germany, but i can say that none of these knives were touched by a german during fabrication, and the materials are wholely non-german,
if spyderco is made in taiwan or japan or the u.s.a, or argentina, or the chuvash republic... or where ever i have not a problem, i just perosnaly dont like spyderco ( if they were cheaper i might like them much more

)
i think being made in taiwan dosnt make a bad knife (benchmade, many coldsteel and crkt... ect ect), it is a knife and it works,
im not personaly a spyderco fan... in my opinion there is better knives for the money,
they are pricey for what you get that is all, and i dont much go for serrations on pocket knives, also there is no hand work in the knives, and very little machine working, i just find the cheap personaly,
it is no attack on spydercos brand or on fans of spyderco
i have owned a spyderco police and found it a decent knife, nothing special, but fine enougth, but like i said you can get much better for the money, if i were planning to copy something it wouldnt be spyderco,
ok, in the post above i clearly exsplaind the origins of the milled military knives, and no the knife "Kondor" is not copied from the EA model you name,,the link is of the old kondor , it is without a finger guard because russian law stated that to sell without a licence you must have not form of finger guard, it is now quite a different knife, the pictures you show are from 1999 from old pictures on the web site, we produce many hundreds of knife, people draw them and we make them, if they draw a knife like extreama ratio then make it, its not a copy, but it uses similar features, and no for shure the italians didnt design the knife for us, at the time the first milled knives were being made there was some unreliable department managers making decisions, many problems efficency,
once it was noticed that the original milled military knife we based the other models on (the knife was called crocodile) had its basic style copied from the knives made by ER, the rubber moulded handle, the one peace steel form, , the knives were changed, the blade form of the knives from the the strat was basicly kizlyar, as the knife that spawned the military knives we make was only a drawing sent to us, not a solid knife,
.. you have to understand kizlyar is a company with nearly 400 employees, and many people are making and ording things in all sort of forms all the time,
please if you have the chance compare the ER knives and the Kizlyar knives,
we also make many other military knives, this is not the only military knives we make,
re- seki city,
many products marked seki are made in taiwan or china for the japanese market, but still many knives are made there, yes they are making some good knives, but also much junk, although as factory wages have improved in japan over the years the amount of junk coming from seki has decreased somewhat drasticly, as its not so profitable to make poor quality goods anymore,
seki still produces many cheap pocket knives and kitchen knives , with only a little better quality over the chinese made products, many are made for american companies under american brands, they are made for a price, seki is no mark of quality, there is good and bad, like solingen, some is very good... some is very bad...
I am not from Germany but from Russia, Kizlyar (well im in trasit now, not quite in kizlyar

),
i am an employe for the factory in dagestan,
Mrs Dopgen is incharge of importing and selling out products in germany
and is a seperate entity from my self,
if you have any other questions on the production of the knives or about dagestan or russian knives or such please ask....
