A bit about the design.
The history of the design concept goes back more than 20 years. We first made the "Hunter" model in '83. Over the years we've made many changes to the design as it evolved.
The Stretch2 design was, from my point of view, kind of an ultimate 3.5" lock-back folder. Designed as a "cutter" and not a pry-bar.
Thin, full flat grind, double distal taper. As much blade as would be needed to do the job and support the thumb-hole, but no more. ZDP-189 with a thin edge.
1mm thick full liner to support pivots, clip screw and construction screws. The liner is skeletonized to reduce weight without compromising strength. A thin 2mm thick peel-ply carbon fiber scale for grip and easy, flat carry. A four way clip adjustment, E4 / D4 "hourglass clip, which has proven to be comfortable and user friendly.
The design has a finger choil, with jimping for control. Large thumb-hole. Lanyard hole. Boye dent (Sorry Paul ).
A great deal of time and refinement to the ergos, it should fit 99% of all hands well.
Sorry, But we couldn't do all of this and make it inexpensive.
If the design proves out, we would like to make an FRN version as the E4 / D4 with directional texturing and odd colors.
