Das Zitat kann ich nicht bestätigen. Wenn man youtube vids Glauben schenken darf, so hat Vadim RIP beweisen können, dass das Schneiden auf PP sogar die Messerschärfe verbessert(!) im Gegensatz zu PE. Allerdings habe ich wirklich nirgends handelsübliche Marken/Schneidbretter in PP finden können. Quasi jedes (non-rubber) Kunststoffbrett, das weltweit über die Ladentheke geht und verfügbar in Lagern gehalten wird, sind Bretter aus PE.
