(Ich kann Deutsch lesen, aber ich kann es nicht gut schreiben. Daher werde ich in Englisch zu schreiben.)
I was quite interested in the Epicenter because of its clean design and materials. I did watch the critical youtube videos and read this thread.
My conclusion is that I am still interested in the Epicenter, but only if I can choose one in the Böker shop in Solingen. It seems too much risk to order it online. Indeed, as mentioned here the off-center handle slabs may not impact the functionality, yet it would irritate me a lot if my knife had that visual imperfection. It is priced as a premium product, hence I think it is fair from me to expect premium fit & finish. The Sebenza has a hole in its non-lock handle side for alignment during production, I can now see why!
I did mind less that one reviewer found a few small scratches on the handle and clip. Yes, these shouldn't be present on a new knife, but on the other hand my Sebenza handle was full of scratches after a few days carrying.
In the end I think that: a hand-picked Epicenter with correctly aligned handles is still a very interesting product on its price level. However I would not be happy with a misaligned one.
